BRAID

With the delicate organic irregularities that recall the natural surfaces, it might be a surprise to know that Braid is made of post-consumption recycled polyester. Designed by Karin An Rijlaarsdam, focused on creating sustainable designs with a positive environmental impact, the carpet is inspired by the braiding techniques, crafts and landscapes of Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast, where it resides. It is the first design of the Kvadrat carpet collection that includes recycled polyester.
