Couple of emperors who are part of the composition to celebrate one of the most popular traditions in Japan. Every 3rd March, Hina Matsuri is celebrated and the girls receive as a gift the Hina Dolls, figures that form the Hina ningyo, a composition of characters that are placed on a stage and that serve to ensure them a happy life. This piece stands out because the characters have more childlike features. Their kimonos reproduce with great fidelity to detail and preciousness in execution those worn at the Japanese imperial court during the Heian period.
