Description:
Lord Ganesha is the god of wisdom and knowledge. This deity, who is very popular in India, is depicted here playing the mridangam, a traditional instrument. The piece also shows other attributes of the traditional iconography of Ganesha, such as the gada (mace), the paasha (noose) and the broken tusk, elements whose symbolism is reflected in the avatars or traditional stories about Ganesha, well known to his numerous followers. It is the fourth and last in the series of musical Ganeshas. The finish of this creation is in matt white porcelain with touches of gloss and golden lustre decorating different parts of the piece.
