With TONKA, Casamance pays homage to the coumarou, a Caribbean tree with fragrant flowers. We propose an abstract interpretation with stylised fruits and flowers, seen as planes of colour. An icon of perfumery and gastronomy, the tonka bean is shaped like an almond. It blends the flavours of vanilla, gingerbread and musk. These delicious, woody notes seem to emanate from the fabric. The fragrances are suggested by a palette of luminous tones, enhanced by digital printing on cotton sateen.
