Raffia is often used in interiors because of its natural appeal. In the Farini design, raffia is used in an innovative way: after weaving it into a wide, smooth wallpaper, the sides are cut off. These strips are then joined together vertically and overlapped to create a dynamic line pattern with a lot of depth. The name refers to the Raphia farinifera, a tropical African palm tree.
