Description:
For Hinduism, Krishna is one of the many incarnations of the god Vishnu. According to Krishnaism, on the other hand, he is the main form of God, from whom all other gods emanate. He himself declares: "Whenever righteousness declines and injustice increases, I manifest myself". This piece is inspired by one of India's most popular stories in which little Krishna steals his mother's freshly made butter. When she opened her mouth to see if he was eating it, she saw the entire universe between the baby god's little teeth. The creation is richly ornamented, from the jar of butter to Krishna's costume, which has been carefully detailed down to the smallest detail.
