Sculpture of a large seated Buddha, made in three different finishes.The mudra he performs with his right hand directed towards the earth is key to understanding the piece.01012524 (earth) is made in stoneware with natural earth coloured glazes. 01012525 (orange) is made in white porcelain, with bright colours of intense metallic blue and saffron orange, like an oriental monk. 01012526 (gold) is made in white porcelain but enhanced with gold lustre on the blue mantle, following an inspiration based on the ancient images of Asian temples.
