Sita and her husband Rama are the protagonists of an epic love story that is part of the Ramayana, one of the greatest epics of ancient India. In this creation, Sita is depicted in accordance with traditional Hindu iconography. The matt white porclena has been chosen to enhance the sculptural details of the piece and a meticulous work of ornamentation has been carried out to recreate the richness of the fabrics, the jewellery and the headdress. The gold lustre, chosen as the only decoration, stands out against the white background, further enhancing the details.
